A Leader and a Renaissance

Yes…There are men in life, who have acquired intense insights from life experiences, and who can with their love, sincerity, and faith lit a lantern in the darkness and face the complex challenges. Thus no matter how we tried to count the wonderful and profound imprints of the deeds and work of His Highness the Prime Minister, words remain incapable of embracing all his deeds. Talking about His Highness's accomplishments can never end due to his unlimited achievements and giving that can not be covered in few pages. History, on the other hand, will not ignore any of them; it will mark his vivid achievements. To cut a long story short, the achievements of the Kingdom could not have been achieved was not it for the great love this man holds for man and land.

They are the ungrateful and you are the holder of the great heart.

We knew you… and Aba Ali, you have truly proved in every occasion that you are the father, who at all times, forgives the flaws and slips of his sons. This has made you a model, a pioneer and an example of the forgiveness and tolerance. You have proved to the whole world that Bahrain is not a gathering of various families, but it is one big, united family that loves each other and lives at the heart of one man for the love, dignity and pride of our homeland.

Khalifa Bin Salman…and nurturing his people

The people of Bahrain, with their diverse responsibilities and culture, have bounded around their leaders and rulers, because they know that any reform that does not come from the union of the nation with its rulers is a false reform and a vivid corruption. Therefore, they have conserved their speech and detached themselves from worthless speeches, focused on in-depth understanding of things, checked the facts, never took hasty judgments and considered all consequences with sounds shrewd and clear sighted mind. They have listened to the wisdom and insights of their leaders closely and carefully as they carry the emblem of success and rightness. For that reason, let us congratulate ourselves for this honorable stance that rejoiced us and delighted the hearts of our nation with the leadership of this great man Khalifa Bin Salman, the devoted son of Bahrain.

A Heart occupied by the national causes

Al Oruba Club had the feeling of reassurance and resumed its national, intellectual course after the munificent gesture of the Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, that ended all the controversy that took place on more than one internal and external levels regarding the managerial closure of the Club. This is not an odd gesture to His Highness the Prime Minister, whom we are used to his wisdom and skill in dealing with national issues with rationality and flexibility. He would spare the country anything that might disturb its security, stability, and best interests and all that might also hazard the welfare of the citizens and harm the march of orthodox democracy.

Your attention to the diversity of national income resources, encouraging free economy, drawing foreign capital through regional and, foreign offshore banks, and investing these funds in building the cultural renaissance taking place in Bahrain now, is a good evidence that the Isa Khalifa has been successful during the past four decades in the country to safety. Khalifa Bin Salman…. A passion inherited in time

Because I grow up in a modest home that rejoiced and took pride in the nations' symbols and leaders, a pride engraved in our souls, through the stories and friendly conversations, which brought together my late father Khalifa Qassim, God rest his soul, and His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman, I always feel a close intimacy with our leadership wherever I go. Not only this, but I get enraged if one tries to underestimate their benevolence. This reality that we have felt and lived for years and see until this day of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman, Prime Minister, is the result of his massive efforts to legislate and build economic relations with many countries. The vessel of after silence

We have traveled in the boat of Khalifa Bin Salman for more than 53 years, and what Bahrain had reached of great achievements both at the level of human development or infrastructure have its pros and cons. It is the mode of life, and it is a fact that we can not make everyone happy as this is obvious. I speak not only for Khalifa Bin Salman in his home with his children and grandchildren, nor of the Council of Ministers, but I speak about all the councils of the higher leadership that are open to all ; I only speak the right word towards those who are older than us in age and have more experience. I am talking about the Prime Minister and his great achievements in every corner of Bahrain regardless of any shortcomings.  I am sure today that some might agree or disagree with me but, in the end we are talking about a single ship sailing towards one port and one goal.

This country is small in size but enormous in its accomplishments, achievements and deeds; its history is full of integrity, honor and dignity. The dedication to the service of the country is a lesson we learned from the Prime Minister, generation after generation and on every occasion he meets the sons of this homeland. Khalifa Bin Salman’s wisdom in facing challenges

The right vision of this leader is highlighted in another dimension of his personality and orientations; it is his eager to strengthen the national and Gulf identity of Bahrain, as this is a natural extension and a vital source of strength and stability. Hence we see his emphasis on the importance of promoting and supporting the complementary progress both in the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council, or within the framework of the Arab League. He expressed his more deserving importance by saying: "We believe that we are all moving within the framework of the one Gulf community where the success of any state is a success for all." The same thing applies to the Arab League, which he describes as the Universal House of the Arabs, which should be strengthened and developed. This has bestowed upon him the appreciation and respect of many of the leaders and peoples of the region's countries and contributed to enhancing the regional and international standing of Bahrain, supported by the national, reform and modern trends of the King.

The era of accelerating economy.

If His Highness the Prime Minister, has concluded such a tour by conducting many of the conventions that opened the doors of Bahrain for the commercial exchange and the economic benefits with countries such as Malaysia, China and Thailand, which are known for their vital and dynamic economy, then the Bahraini capital should not stand idly. You are right Poet, Khalifa is capable of facing challenges

I was fascinated by the words of the distinguished Bahraini poet Mohammed Hadi al-Halwani, in a recently-published poem, when he said in one of the verses: "Khalifa is capable of facing difficulties". His Highness Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister is intended here; this is also what every honest citizen, who was contemporary of and witnessed the achievements of His Highness admits to be true. When this man assumed the helm of the governmental affairs, the country was going through a critical stage, economically and politically. The national economic growth was then slow and depended in its resources on a limited number of economic activities in addition to the circumstances, the countries of the region had undergone, which coincided with the Iranian allegations in the State of Bahrain. The sudden inspection visit of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, to the Zallaq Primary School last Wednesday morning, October 14, 1987, implies several important indications that must be interpreted from a public national view point and an educational viewpoint in particular, because the visit even it falls within the virtuous tradition of His highness in inspecting state institutions and the country affairs from time to time during his visits to work sites on the ground. Yet it cautious other officials to stay on alert in their work sites and a notice for everyone that the Prime Minister himself is supervising the progress of work at the national scene and in various public locations in a direct supervisory manner.

A gesture of respect to the Stateman

A salute to you, Your Highness… The unmatched statesman… A greetings from a journalist who lived for almost 15 years in your kind country; during which he felt your honesty, wisdom and nobility. A journalist who realized, through the carrying out of your executive responsibilities, that you are the excellent statesman capable of steering the vessel of this country in all circumstances:  when the climate is favorable, and the waves are calm, the wind flowing gently and also when waves are fierce, rough and restless, and when the clouds are hovering the sky. In both cases, you have proven to be a skilled shipmaster, who always leads the vessel to safety and prosperity.

Work and the big response

In spite of all his several preoccupations, High Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa gives plenty of time for the sake of the ordinary citizen: he focuses on his living standards, providing him with services and facilitating his way of living in a systematic and adequate way. High Highness believes that the citizen, whose life, work and future are secured, will be a productive citizen who will believe in and honor his country and people and perform all his national duties.
